Amy Leyte

Operations Manager

Amy is responsible for the management of Dixon Mitchell’s administrative staff and oversight of the firm’s day-to-day operations. She also manages DM’s dealings with asset custodians and other outsourced service providers and takes a leadership role in the area of technology enhancement and implementation. Outside of the office, Amy is an accomplished triathlete, having represented Canada at the ITU Long Distance World Championships.

Mike Vanagas

Investment Accountant

Mike has been with Dixon Mitchell since the firm’s inception and has more than 20 years of back office experience in the financial services industry. In his role as Investment Accountant, Mike’s primary responsibility is to ensure the quality and accuracy of all client portfolio data and to reconcile the transaction and pricing records provided by the firm’s custodians. A native of Vancouver, Mike devotes his free time bicycle touring and amateur photography.

Laura Mitchell

Portfolio Analyst, CIM

Laura graduated from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa in 2009 and joined Dixon Mitchell shortly thereafter. As portfolio analyst, she is responsible for allocating account assets to satisfy the terms of client investment policies and for monitoring portfolio composition over time to ensure continued compliance with policy guidelines. In addition to her role in portfolio execution, she is also responsible for providing information to the investment consultants and data services which track DM’s portfolio mandate performance and activity. Laura likes to spend her free time skiing at Whistler and biking throughout the BC lower mainland.

Devon Fewtrell

Client Administrator, CIM

Devon oversees client service activities at Dixon Mitchell, including new account opening, asset transfers, and client communications. She also works closely with the firm’s Portfolio Analyst to help guide the efficient and accurate investment of assets and, when required, liaises with the client’s other advisors to facilitate the ongoing coordination of investment, accounting, and financial planning functions. Devon holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria and enjoys hiking, yoga, and cycling.

Beverly Wong

Executive & Compliance Assistant

As Compliance Assistant, Beverly directs Dixon Mitchell’s ongoing registration and communication with Canada’s various securities commissions. She is also responsible for gathering and disseminating regulatory bulletins and other compliance material to the firm’s compliance department and executive team. In addition to these duties, Beverly records the minutes of Investment Counsel meetings and works closely with the firm’s professional staff in scheduling and preparing for client consultations. Outside the office Beverly likes to hike, read and spend time with her family.
