Nick Karliychuk, CFA, CIM
Director, Operations & IT
Nick completed a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at the International Christian University in Kiev. After working at a multinational bank in Europe, he pursued a career in the financial services industry with a national independent investment dealer. As Operations Manager at Dixon Mitchell, Nick oversees several functions, including trading, portfolio allocation, transaction settlement, client reporting, technology, and business continuity. Outside of work, Nick enjoys traveling and exploring different cultures, as well as taking advantage of the many outdoor activities available in British Columbia’s diverse terrain.
Office Manager & Compliance Officer
As Office Manager at Dixon Mitchell, Beverly oversees day-to-day operations of the office, including HR administration, marketing and facilities management. As Compliance Officer she is also responsible for the development and implementation of compliance and procedures, and ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory and legal requirements and company policy.
Mike has been with Dixon Mitchell since the firm’s inception and has more than 20 years of back office experience in the financial services industry. In his role as Investment Accountant, Mike’s primary responsibility is to ensure the quality and accuracy of all client portfolio data and to reconcile the transaction and pricing records provided by the firm’s custodians. A native of Vancouver, Mike devotes his free time to bicycle touring and amateur photography.
Rajiv Mukhi, CFA
A CFA charterholder, Rajiv began his financial services career in 2005 after graduating from Denison University in Ohio. Prior to joining Dixon Mitchell in 2014, Rajiv worked as a sell-side research professional covering domestic equities for an institutional clientele. At DM, Rajiv focuses on fundamental research, individual company and industry analysis, performing valuation studies, analyzing financial statements, and building and maintaining financial models.
Parry Pasricha, CFA
Parry joined Dixon Mitchell in 2014 after completing the educational requirements of the CFA program. A graduate of Simon Fraser University, Parry began his career in 2011 and worked for a Canadian pension fund and an investment bank. At DM, Parry focuses his time on fundamental analysis of business quality and valuation. Outside of work you might find Parry playing racquet sports, hiking, or reading.
Iwona Bugaj, CIM
Supervisor, Portfolio Administration
Iwona is a graduate of the Finance & Banking Department at the University of Economics in Poland. After working in England for seven years at a global financial services firm, she moved to Vancouver in 2012 and joined Dixon Mitchell shortly thereafter. In her role as Portfolio Administrator, Iwona is responsible for reviewing and preparing transaction orders for execution, as well as liaising with institutional brokers and custodians to coordinate trades and ensure efficient settlement. Iwona likes to spend her free time dancing, attending zumba classes, listening to music, and socializing with friends.
Stephanie developed her passion for financial services after starting her career with a large independent financial services firm. She is in her fourth year of the BBA in Entrepreneurial Leadership program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University and has completed Level 1 of the CFA program. At Dixon Mitchell, Stephanie’s responsibilities include handling trade execution and settlement, reconciling accounts, and preparing quarterly reports. Outside the office, Stephanie can be found skydiving, learning a new IT skill, or working on different craft projects.
Raymond began his career in the financial services industry shortly after graduating from Simon Fraser University and completing the CFA Level 1 exam. He joined Dixon Mitchell in the summer of 2016, bringing with him two years of investment operations experience. As a Portfolio Administrator, Raymond is responsible for executing daily trades, facilitating block trades, rebalancing investment portfolios, and preparing client reports. In his spare time, Raymond likes to keep himself busy with the latest tech gadgets and playing racquet sports.
Shawn graduated from Economics and Business at the University of British Columbia. He passed Level 3 of the CFA program in 2014 and is currently working to earn his MBA at the Sauder School of Business. Shawn joined Dixon Mitchell after serving high-net worth clients at financial institutions overseas and in Canada. As Portfolio Administrator, Shawn monitors and rebalances investment portfolios, assists with transaction execution and settlement, and prepares institutional reporting. In his spare time, Shawn enjoys photography and learning about new investment strategies.
Ashley Hanson, CFA
Associate Portfolio Manager
Ashley holds a Bachelor’s degree from McGill University and is a CFA charterholder. She began her career in financial services working for a large bank-owned investment dealer and joined the Dixon Mitchell team in 2014. At DM, Ashley works with Rob Mitchell to develop and maintain private client relationships, construct customized investment strategies, and monitor and rebalance portfolios. Outside of work, Ashley can be found playing softball or soccer, sailing, or taking pictures of her cats.
Associate Portfolio Manager
Pooja holds a Business Administration Diploma from BCIT, a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Kwantlen Polytechnic University, and has completed Level 2 of the CFA program. Prior to joining Dixon Mitchell in 2015, Pooja worked as an Associate at a large bank-owned investment dealer. At DM, Pooja works with Don Stuart to develop and maintain private client relationships, construct customized investment strategies, and monitor and rebalance portfolios. Outside of work, Pooja enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her little Chihuahua, Franchesco.
Jamie began her career in wealth management in 2011 after receiving her Business Administration Diploma from SAIT Polytechnic while also working at a large Canadian bank. Prior to joining Dixon Mitchell, Jamie was an Associate in the Multi-Family Office division of a major Canadian bank. She holds the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation and has completed the Canadian Securities Course. Jamie’s responsibilities include managing new account openings, monitoring client portfolios, and account administration. Outside the office Jamie enjoys running, hiking and snowshoeing.
Audrey joined Dixon Mitchell in 2014 after completing Level 3 of the CFA exams. She graduated from the Sauder School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in finance and international business. At DM, Audrey’s responsibilities include managing new account openings, monitoring client portfolios, and account administration. Outside the office Audrey enjoys cooking and practicing historical European martial arts.
Robin joined Dixon Mitchell in 2016, bringing extensive background in administration. Her interest in the financial sector began while working with high net worth family offices, and continued during her most recent role as account administrator in the custody division of a large Canadian bank. At Dixon Mitchell, Robin is responsible for account set-up, maintenance and documentation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music, and in her spare time can be found playing trombone with a number of Vancouver jazz ensembles.
Girisha began her career in wealth management and financial planning in early 2013 after earning her Bachelor of Business degree, specializing in Finance, from Simon Fraser University. Currently enrolled in the CFA program, she takes an avid interest in how the financial world works. At Dixon Mitchell, Girisha is responsible for client account set-up, maintenance, and documentation. Outside of work, Girisha enjoys discovering new cultures and loves traveling. She also enjoys dancing, listening to music and socializing with friends.
Jas moved to Vancouver from England in 2001 and started her career in customer service shortly thereafter. As the first point of contact at Dixon Mitchell, Jas enjoys meeting new clients and keeping the office organized and polished. Jas has a keen interest in the financial services industry and plans to pursue the Canadian Securities Course. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, cooking and spending time with her beloved shitzhu.
