As the son of a Capital Markets Trader and Realtor, I was born in Mumbai, India. I was fortunate enough to receive the gift of education and was highly encouraged to stay active. I did a fair bit of travelling across Asia and Europe in my teen years and was motivated to expand my thinking and learn from new experiences and cultures. Most of my free time was spent playing soccer or dancing and I learned the importance of discipline, patience, and hard work from these activities, as well as from the living example of my parents.
At the age of 17, I moved to Vancouver, Canada to begin a business degree at Simon Fraser University (Beedie School of Business). Though the transition from high school to university was not too smooth, I was fortunate to be provided with a library full of resources and people to help me succeed. Soon later, I started with a few volunteer positions in student-run organizations like SFU Finance Club and began my career with an internship as a Derivatives Specialist Intern with Tullett Prebon Ltd. After this experience, I did my second internship in research for an independent research house. After 4.5 years of school, I graduated from Beedie in 2017 with Dean’s Honour Roll.
I began my career at Dixon Mitchell in 2021 Fall on the Trade Desk Team. I wanted to expand my knowledge of how things work in different departments and henceforth this role seemed to match my interests to further my comprehension of an investment boutique.
In my free time, I go to the gym, dance at Harbour Dance Centre, and meet friends to explore new cuisines. I am also a volunteer with the CFA Society Vancouver and a big movie-buff. My favourite directors are Steven Spielberg and Quentin Tarantino.
