I was born and raised in the city of Nanjing, China, one of the nation’s most important cities for over a thousand years and recognized as one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China. As a child I had a great passion for sports from an early age, I accepted an invitation from the city soccer team and trained for six years professionally. This unique experience not only taught me how to overcome unforeseen obstacles, but apply them to real-life, and help me effectively collaborate with others who have different personalities and diverse backgrounds.

In 2011, I started my journey to study abroad and went to high school in Canada. Unexpectedly, I was immediately fascinated by this multicultural country. Afterwards, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Finance and Operations Management from Simon Fraser University. During my time at college, I was deeply attracted by the investment industry and I had a chance to participate in several investment conferences which mainly discussed the topics of capital markets and the global economy. In addition to my degree, I have completed three co-op terms to gain a more practical understanding of risk, investment analysis and financial reporting perspectives.

I chose to start my career in one of the largest local real estate investment companies to serve pension fund clients after graduating in 2019. Following this, I worked for a regional start-up firm as a financial analyst to learn more about the corporate finance business. In addition, I became a member of the CFA program to keep myself in pace with the most up-to-date investment theories and concepts. To further expand my investment knowledge base, I decided to join Dixon Mitchell Investment Counsel in 2022.

In my leisure time, I enjoy playing basketball and badminton, hiking and travelling all over the world with my family and friends.
